WHY WE STARTED: OUR HISTORY
Gibbs Floral Studio is a dream come true that began with owner, Stephanie Gibbs. Stephanie fell in love with event planning at a young age. Growing up in a family that was in the hospitality and construction industry, she helped her father serve-up the most delicious Low Country cuisine for private events up and down the east coast as far north as the Hamptons.
She was mesmerized by the way a pasture on a horse farm could be transformed into a magical charity event with tents housing thousands of people and GoGo’s on the main stage. Be sure to ask her about the time she met Belinda Carlisle and Betsy Johnson. Her father also taught her to always show hospitality to every person and vendor who helped make these huge events happen. Serving up a warm meal to these hard working individuals, she quickly knew this is what she wanted to do one day.
With over a decade of experience in the Low Country hospitality industry, Stephanie started a successful wedding planning company. After planning, designing and executing hundreds of weddings and events, she realized her passion was in the design and florals. Thus began the floral design company that is now Gibbs Floral Studio, formerly known as Stephanie Gibbs Events.
She’s built a team of talented individuals with diverse backgrounds in wedding planning, interior design, construction management, and most importantly floral design. It is more than just a group of people designing pretty flowers, it’s a family who truly love working together to create exquisite, seamless, and joyful events.
